Pours nearly crystal clear and orange gold. Nice fluffy white head. Good retention. Excellent lacing.
Fairly robust hop aromas on the nose. More grass than resin. A bit of citrus and earth. Undertones of honey and graham.
A little honey/graham malt on the tip of the tongue, along with a little crackery note. A little watery in midstream, but then the hops definitely step up. Some distinct resin notes here, along with citrus pith and peel. But it doesn't hit you over the head. It stops just short of the APA/IPA line. The finish delivers some almost mineral water notes.
Medium to medium light bodied. Not crisp, but nicely drying. Very drinkable.
There is so much to really like here. It just needs a little more depth or fullness to round out the flavor and fill in the middle, which feels a little hollow compared with the delicious honey beginning and the tasty hoppy mineral finish.
