Poured from a growler into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a half finger white head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus and piney hops, orange, grapefruit, light pine and hints of mixed tropical fruit. Flavor is caramel malt, citrus and lightly piney hops, orange, light grapefruit and pine; mixed light stone and tropical fruit in the background. Solid piney and citrus rind bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A classic tasting West Coast IPA with great citrus, non-assertive pine and interesting faint mixed fruit. The malt and hop bill remind me of the California IPAs of a decade or so ago that got me interested in this style in the first place. A light fruity sweetness leaves a pleasant aftertaste. I like this one.
