Pours a hazy, copper in color with a minimal amount of head. Lacing as you drink. Aroma is intriguing... sweet, sour and herbal with a toasty undertone, melon, pineapple and a bit of spice. Taste follows the nose quite well; spicy and floral hops hit the palate first with some herbal melon, followed by a fruity climax (melon, pineapple, apricot) and finishing with a mixture of toasty malts and grapefruit rind hops. Definitely a complex flavor profile. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with solid carbonation and a fair amount of chewiness. Overall this is a great brew. Complex enough to savor, drinkable enough to session. Cheers!

Pours a murky hay tone, I know it's the hip haze theze daze but this is not a very appealing version to me. reminiscent of dirty water but with a pleasant-ish amber hue. Was more attractive in the lovely can. Smell is pleasant and vaguely tropical. More like bananas and sea air tropical than tangerine bonanza but tropical none the less. The taste is bright and floral. Very clean malty sweetness that is complimented by an herbal bitterness that closes out each sip. Grassy with flavors that remind me of winter squash or carrots in the best way. Like winter squash flavored citrus. Crisp and light and incredibly too drinkable. Wish it was hotter here so I could drink one by the river. Solid beer overall, I prefer the citra version that they have regularly but this one is a pleasant change of pace from the bombast of the citra hop. Worth a taste indeed
Update with the 11/15 canning:
The look is markedly better, I will keep all my original numbers the same but this canning has none of the dirty water hue and is instead a beautiful golden orange.
The smell remains pleasantly and subtly tropical.
The taste is still muted in a sophisticated way but this canning is certainly a bit brighter, may just be a result of fresher hops. the tropical fruit and candied grapefruit peel is oh so pleasant.
the mouthfeel remains amazing.
glad to see they rereleased this one, it may surpass the citra as my favorite in the series with this canning.
