Pours a bright straw with a big white head of tiny bubbles that hangs on well. Classic wc IPA color.
Smell is pineapple forward with some boozy stonefruit going on as well. Not a lot of malt presence and the booze is definitely there.
Taste has heavy melon (honeydew and a little cantaloupe) and some peach and pineapple and the booze is hanging out a little on the tongue too. A nice citrus zest/tangerine flesh bite joins the party as I sip into a little. The booze isn't overwhelming and it plays nicely with the other flavors, but that little bite and slightest burn is there on the way down (I kinda like that in my dipas personally)
Mouthfeel is amazing for a DIPA, not heavy or syrupy at all. great crisp finish. Really spectacular.
Overall this is nice, I think I like it more than the single version that is their flagship. Don't think i can stick an 8%er into the staple position in my lineup though. I hope this becomes a regular feature on the shelves though because it's one of the better DIPAs for my palate, light body, nice bitter sweet fruit flavors, and just enough boozy presence to remind you that you are not in fact drinking a weak beer and might want to savor the sip a bit more.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
