August 12, 2016 - Bear Roots is a gem I return to as often as I can. Today I start with a taste of the Pale Ale, with a light, slight tang on the nose, but not much else to catch from the taster goblet. The flavor is easier to notice, with a slight acidity, a bit of butter, and a long aftertaste. It's most like buttered bread, or bread from a local deli in the area with a savory richness.
