There’s a lot to love about our Dunkelweizen. The “brother” to our Golden Child Hef, it has an earthy, roasted chocolate character from the addition of cacao nibs. Add that to our Golden Child Hef, and it makes for a full-bodied brew that’s one part banana and one part chocolate. Think chocolate covered banana, and you’re there.

On tap at the brewery tasting room. Very dark brown color with adequate foam. Quite fragrant with the estery clove taste.
Watery body with just a little tingle of carbonation. Starts out sweet on the lips. Fairly drinkable but it tends to a murky biterish aftertaste that is not inviting many more sips.

"Chocolate banana" flavor. Reminiscent of Karl Strauss' PB Porter. From a series of desert "Candy bar beers".
