On tap at Stone Brewery, poured into a flute glass. Pours dark coppery amber with a half finger off-white head with good retention and light lacing. Muted aroma of biscuit malt and light grassy malt. Flavor is deep, rich biscuit malt with slight caramel notes, grassy and faint citrus hops, orange citrus and light mixed fruit, finishing with rich biscuit malt and grassy hops. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A quite malty IPA with a profile that was reminiscent of an English bitter, but more robust malt but continental tasting dry grassy hops with only slight citrus. Not the expected West Coast profile, but a quite satisfying and rich, malty IPA. Great with lunch.

On tap. "Northwest IPA." Pungent fruity-piney aroma.
