Simply described as a Brett finished pale ale.
Pours a hue of coral, no head.
The sugars in Earlybird's beers are truly going through some wonderful transformations. It's funny, because their Plume Noire is described as being aged on peaches, yet, this Brett Pale is not advertised as having any, yet I do get an abundance of peaches on the nose here.
Swished around the tongue I still get the peach, pleasantly enough, as well as some pear. Again I'm thoroughly impressed by how Earlybird has restrained a powerful ingredient. In this case, the brett. I have had some brett sours that are just overwhelmingly pungent, but this is really well balanced. It contributes just enough to bring the sour, wild elements while maintaining sweetness that keeps this brew smooth and quaffable.
They've only bottled the Plume so far, but this one, while it takes quite a bit of time and effort to make, would be welcomed with eager arms to say the least.
