Described as a kettle soured Belgian-styled stout with hints of raspberries, coffee, and chocolate.
Pours a medium brown, with almost a shade of purple.
I am surprised to immediately get the coffee on the nose, as I've never had a sour on coffee, and expected it, like most sours, to be consumed and evolved into something different. The coffee is present, but so too was a touch of cinnamon, strangely enough.
As strange as it seemed, it translated very well on the palate. Coffee and cinnamon carryover, although maybe the raspberry evolved into the cinnamon because I didn't really detect it.
Another deliciously tart sour, I also got some notes of lactose which resulted in a smoothing effect.
