Copenhagen 17/9 2022. 33 cl bottle from BulgarskMad, Ã…boulevarden, Kbh. N. Abstract art with different shades of green and some half-cooked numbers.
Pours unclear and a bit murky amber with a small white head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with something sweetly fruity and a bit of alcohol and wood. Sweet pale malts, dark alcohol, sugar, tart gooseberries and hints of wood.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is surprisingly bitter with a hard edge of alcohol. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry and boozy.
Quite boozy but with some syrup and wood to mellow things up.
