Do you find the experiments of the Craft Breweries boring and similar? We have an unexpected combination that, in the final result, surprises you not only with the idea, but also with its pleasant taste qualities. This beer starts its journey as a standard sour fermented with lactic acid culture. In the secondary fermentation, pickles and their marinade are added to this ale.
The golden straw colour of this beer is reminiscent of traditional sours. The aroma is complex, combining fruity acidity and the unexpected freshness of the pickles with a light hint of vinegar and spices.
Taste is the main trump card of this product. The malt balances the tartness, resulting in a sweet and sour ale that combines not only the fruity, lemony profile of the lactic fermentation, but also the flavours of the pickle and the cucumber, and the complementary spices of coriander, mustard seeds and a minimal amount of chalapeƱo pepper. All the flavours come together perfectly to paint an unexpected but very balanced canvas of flavour.
This ale is not just an opportunity to taste something unusual or simply an experiment for the sake of experimenting. Sour beer and cucumber combinations are gaining popularity on the global market because of their unexpectedly pleasant flavour characteristics and the surprise factor.
Ingredients: water, barley and wheat malts, pickles, salt, coriander and mustard seeds, chalapeƱo peppers, hops, yeast.

It seems that these pickle beers are getting more popular. Can't tell if it's a disappearing niche or if this small subset within a substyle has staying power. Anywho, this one tasted like it actually had legit pickle brine in it. Or more specifically, it seemed as if they mixed the pickle brine into a base beer (but not necessarily brewed it together). And because the pickle brine tasted so authentic, I actually liked this beer less than some other pickle beers because I don't think pickles and beer should be mixed. It does not make sense. But clearly some people like it.

Assuming this is the same as "Agurkeliu Elis," or this brewery has multiple pickle beers. Pours a clear straw yellow, fizzy and ephemeral head, little lacing. Nose is bread and butter pickles and suntan lotion. Taste leans more into the pickle (thankfully), with a grainy, bready finish. Feel is light, small and crisp carbonation. Overall, this does dial down the "pickle" of pickle beers, with less of a sour flair than, say, the Best Maid version. This isn't at all bracing in its sourness, nor does it really capture "pickle" as I'd conceive of it, so I'm a little bit stumped by its execution.

11.2oz can. Stamp on label has canning date as '12.10.2023' and best by date of '12.10.2025'.
Mostly clear, pale straw colored body. Fizzy head disappears in about ten seconds. Carbonated bubbles continue to rise to the surface. No lacing.
Aroma is pickle brine and cucumber.
Taste is quick to dissipate. Flavors of pickle brine and cucumber, with a sour note. Very short lived aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel, but very drying on the finish. Supportive carbonation.
Refreshing in a way because it exits so quickly, and with an authentic flavor profile.
