Appearance: Clear, light amber colored brew with unperceived effervesce and no head or lacing to speak of.
Aroma: Aroma is mild with very tame notes of orange blossom, melanoidin and adjunct malt.
Taste: Low impact and following on the nose with added cooked vegetables off flavors.
Palate: Light bodied. Low carbonation. Bliny sweet finish. Low bitterness. Alcohol well hidden, in spite of all else.
Overall: This is the confirmation of my most cynical expectations in regards to a big Portuguese brewery taking on craft brewing: No complexity, plenty of adjuncty off flavors, no potential for ageing and a completely misguided take on the style. Just VERY underachieving.
