Olhão 11/7 2016. 33 cl can from Continente Modelo Supermarket. Typical discount beer can which try to convince me that this beer is both "Tradicional" and "Excelencia".
Pours clear pale yellow with a white head. Stable. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sour sweet. Sweet malts intermingling with something that smells like artificial lemon.
Soft carbonation and watery palate. Flat texture.
Flavor is sweet without much bitterness for balance. A little sourness - that’s all.
Typical mass-produced cheap sweet beer.

Marina is distributed as a private label by the Continente supermarkets and it is produced by Unicer. It appears that this beer used to be a product of renown some 30 years ago. In 1982 Unicer interrupted the production, and last year it reappeared in the market. As far as I am concern they should have left this undead beer undisturbed.
Appearance: straw color, very clear. White low head and poor retention.
Smell: there is nothing there.
Taste: adjuncty.
Mouthfeel: drying sensation. Reasonable carbonation, low alcoholic strength and very light body.
Finish: nothing left after I swallowed it.
Overall: a flavorless, empty adjunct lager. The only quality of Marina is its low price.
