I visited Four Horsemen Brewery last weekend to try the beers and have some lunch. It's an interesting spot, out on a suburban farm, basically: big outdoor area under tents, with a smaller indoor area that appears to have been a garage originally. The indoor area has lots of personality, with a mural on the wall, a piano and guitar in the corner, and an eclectic collection of furnishings; I liked it. The whole place was very DIY-seeming (the kitchen is a 5th wheel trailer; the bathrooms are portable toilets, etc.), but the guys working were friendly and service was good. I got a Reuben sandwich for lunch and it was a) large and 2) very tasty, with some excellent salt-and-pepper fries on the side.

There were 9 or so beers on tap when I was there, plus some cider and seltzer. Styles included porter, mango lager, amber ale, stout, a chocolate peanut butter imperial porter, sour wheat ale with herbs, pumpkin sour, pilsner, and IPA. I had the IPA and the stout, and I'm sorry to say, the beer wasn't the greatest. The stout was fine, but the IPA was not my favorite. I really liked the food and the vibe of the place -- I just wish the beer were better.
