solid classic ipa here, fresh at the brewery this week, a little more malty, almost pushing that red ipa space, but not too sweet or heavy feeling, and with punchy early start hops that get quite bitter at the end after a bunch of fruit wrinkles from papaya to sweet orange to even mango, pine tree, and bubble harsh, very pleasant brew, the cleanest on the ferment of the three i had there too. just off clear here, copper colored, very frothy headed from the tap. some toasted grain character in the nose, christmas tree, honey and toffee, bitter orange and its pith, good weed, and a little sweetness, really pleasant, nice flow, very fresh, northwestern. the flavor has a bit of a graham cracker thing to the grain with a medium body and a bready baked vibe, while the hops flash different and different points, pine up front, zested essential oily citrus in the middle, herbal bitterness next, and mango and canned mandarin orange on the recall, pretty high ibu too though, nice intensity and punch, ipa all the way, but most robust right on the swallow. good proportions here, distinctive on the hop side, and overall real tasty, almost creamy feeling, and sturdy enough for winter weather. good ipa, this should appeal to all fans of the style, as long as you dont mind some bitterness!
