Lumber House Brewery

I visited Lumber House last weekend while out exploring south King County. They've got a clean, industrial design philosophy and a lumber/sawmill theme; it's airy and welcoming. The brewhouse shares a space with the taproom, which I always love to see.

When I was there, they had 11 beers and two house seltzers along with 4 guest ciders on tap. The style selection was a good variety of pretty standard options: stout, porter, pale, IPA, etc., but they also have a few less-common styles, like a scotch ale, a bock, and a kölsch.

I had a tasting flight with the porter, IPA, kölsch, and oatmeal stout. Among the beers I had, I preferred the dark beers, but everything was perfectly acceptable — nothing super bad nor super good.

Service at the bar is quick and friendly. They have a kitchen with a pretty good looking menu, though i didn't get food on this occasion. They had country music on the radio, and it seemed like a popular hangout for regulars. Overall a nice place!
