This is the big brother of the regular Cutthroat already listed. Served in bubble pint glass. Poured a slightly hazy reddish-gold color with1/4 inch of very light beige head that had medium retention and OK lacing.
The aroma was very malty, just a touch too sweet for me, and had a nice tang of hops behind the malt. The flavors were good, the maltiness was solid without the sweetness of the aroma, a bold hop presence and a tingling citrus finish.
The body was crisp, full and smooth, although I did find the the beer to be a bit sticky. Drinkability was very good, especially for a bigger beer. Overall, a very good, solid beer that's worth trying.
