Munich Helles is a golden lager that is malt-accentuated with underlying spicy hop notes and a low bitterness that provides a supporting role.

The beer poured clear with a fine amber tone, same appearance in the glass; no carbonation (due to the leakage); no head. Fine mild grain aroma; a hint of herbal hop spiciness. Nice malt flavor; mild with an edge of cereal grain; very delicate hop bitterness. Medium body but flat (again, due to leakage issues).
It appears that the crowler may have broken the lid seal on top. Despite the lack of carbonation, all other factors are pretty decent considering the condition the beer arrived in. I'm sure if carbonation was present, there would have been a nice head and definitely a fuller, richer mouthfeel. I would estimate this beer would easily rate a solid '4' overall under better serving conditions and, perhaps, a higher overall rating.
ABV: 4.9%; pouring temperature: 51.3 °F; crowler date: May 25 2025

Note: the crowler developed a leak during shipping. Scores (except for overall) reflect my impression of the beer 'as is' and not necessarily at its best. The overall score is adjusted to better reflect my overall impression of what this beer might actually be like.
