from notes taken at the brewery:
A: pours a light brown color with ruby tints into a clear plastic cup with a half finger of tan head.
S: Caramel, dark fruits, biscuits and pine.
T: a lot like the nose, mostly sweet malt and caramel with a hint of pine and sap.
MF: a little light for a red ale, but not bad.
O: a mediocre beer, one I personally wouldnt ask for again; but once again not a bad beer and if offered I guess I wouldnt turn it down

Got this from the brewery in a growler. They had just started doing tours and selling beer from the brewery. The guy who gave us the tour was very informative and fun (Rod was his name). The tour and tasting was free and the samples were a generous amount. We tasted the brown, wit, red, and the bourbon porter. The red and porter were my favourites. The red has a nice thick body and dark amber colour. Very hoppy for a red which made me happy. Great beer from a great company, hopefully they start selling outside of Carolina soon.

A- Toasty looking, held up to light can find ways to see through but dark brown, not black.
S- Smell of prune and malt. Which to me smelt very nice, and a little pines also.
T- Taste was my overall favorite part of the beer, which typically is if the taste is there. Toasty and malty with a hint of hops or pine at the end. Not leaving a after taste, just enough bitter hops to say yes. Thats a damn good beer.
M- Light mouthfeel at first then can feel the heaviness of the malt and caramel just sitting, not too much carbonation. Just pleasent sensation without any burn from carbonation or alchohol.
I suggest if you are around Myrtle Beach, SC go to the brewery and see if they are brewing this beer and buy a growler. For the price especially, i have this at the top of my red ales. I live here, and i'll be going back to drink all their brews because i enjoy all, but this one is my favorite as of now with the BB porter.

Appears a dark red with some brown tints and a small white head.
Smell is of a nice blend of malts making for a crisp, grainy aroma.
Taste is a decent blend of malts and a crisp wheat like sweetness. There is a decent low hop profile.
Mouthfeel is crisp and right with a nice balance.
Drinkability is nice. A decent session brew.
