At Brewvival 2012
Pours a clear mahogany with a dense ivory head. Definitely getting bourbon in the nose, but not much else. Roasted malt and chocolate perhaps? Taste is similarly underwhelming, one-dimensional flavors of bourbon, roasted malt, and chocolate. Mouthfeel is thin and watery, with ample carbonation. Just not a good beer, perfect example of polishing a turd. A bourbon treatment cannot save a mediocre beer.

Had a taste of this at the brewery a week ago. Nice dark porter with excellent bourbon notes. It is very dark but remarkably light while keeping the flavour of the malt and bourbon from the cask quite well. I don't usually drink a lot of porters and stouts but this was very nice.
