Handsome clear amber brew with a long-lasting white foam in the tumbler. Pleasant aroma of pine and straw. Malty body with adequate fizz on the tongue. this has that dark-fruity-woody taste that I have been encountering lately in a lot of IPAs. It's kind of murky, though not unpleasant.
Flavors are orange and burnt caramel. Moderate bitterness. Quite woody tasting, though not exactly astringent. From the 32 oz growler filled at the brewery tasting room. I was pretty amazed at the price-- fifteen bucks for a quart of regular beer?
