A hazy and fluffy New England style double IPA single hopped with Simcoe! Brewed in collaboration with our friends at Black Sheep Ale House in Mineola. This beer is a serious hop bomb, packed with plenty of flavor and aroma from the mountains of Simcoe added in the whirlpool, hop back, and dry hop.

I found this to be a wonderful exploration of simcoe in a neipa. Hazy orangey yellow with white head and lacing. Piney citrus explodes in the nose with dull berry and slight pineapple undertones. Taste again rocks the palate with the pine but not in a resinous way, rather has some dry onion and grass accents that beautifully contrast with the bold citrus, mango, pineapple rind and peach. Make no mistake it is a hop bomb, but it strikes a bitter-juicy balance that works. Otherwise the feel is medium bodied, alternating sharp and smooth, but the middle could use a little more behind the hops to reach the highest heights. A surprise debut hit for me, love when that happens!

Hazy deep golden look with a thin white head that went to a quick ring. Really nice citrus / tropical based nose on this beer. Flavorful, really well use of the simcoe hops creates a sweet tropical start with a medium amount of bite on the end. Bitterness does build and stick a bit. Medium feel with low yet prickly carbonation, this brew is decent.

Pours cloudy orange color with a 1-2 finger thick foamy off-white colored head that faded slowly and left good foamy lacing coating the sides. Smells and tastes like tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, clementine, pineapple, lime, apricot, tropical fruit, Razzles, biscuit, chalky yeast, caramel, toasted grains and piney notes. Well balanced and smooth.

A cloudy yellow can pour presents below a tall cap of white foam. The aroma is mildly tropical with orange and a bit of pine in the nose.
The flavor is citrus and mango first. Moderate hop bitterness builds. There is a touch of resin.
The mouthfeel is quite smooth.
This is a very pleasant brew.
