This beer was brewed in honor of the brewery's 25th anniversary. Not much to celebrate here. Comes in a standard brown half liter bottle with a white, red and gold metallic label with nothing but words. Ingredients conform to the purity law. Bottled on 9/16/03, I opened it on 12/16/03.
There is a pinkish note to the clear gold liquid, while the white head is thin and bubbly. It disappears quickly, leaving only patchy film on the surface. The nose is mild, with a hint of fruit syrup and not much else. The mouth is prickly and light. The taste is sweet, with raspberry undertones on top of a firm malt base. There's little hops to back this up, though, leaving a slightly fruity sweet finish and very little aftertaste. Not quite a drain pour, but the thought did cross my mind.
