After sleeping 12 months in Basil Hayden Bourbon Barrels, Witch's Hand is awake; a 13% barrel aged English Barleywine. On the nose, notes of dates punctuated by a hefty bourbon kick. Flavor of toffee, caramel, jammy fig, and boozey bourbon. Brewed in collab with Ground Control for their 15 year anniversary.

This one pours a fairly dark brown, nearly black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like tobacco, dried plums, caramel, maple, molasses, vanilla, and oak.
This almost has an old mustiness to it, like old dry oak maybe, with lots of spice, lots of dried fruit – plum, black cherry, raisin, etc – with more typical barleywine flavors of molasses and caramel. I also get a touch of maple and vanilla as well.
This is medium bodied, slightly boozy and warming, but only a little bit, with a nice drinkability for the style.
I really liked Dark Sky Brewing on my trip to the Grand Canyon a year ago, so it was cool to try one of their beers again.
