Imperial stout aged in Old Elk rye and wheated whiskey barrels, with added coconut and vanilla. Brewed for Fort George's Festival of Dark Arts in February 2024.

The original festival listing states 13% ABV, but this 12-oz can claims 12% ABV--unknown if this is a new batch or what has happened. The pour is black with minimal head, no lacing, and a fairly thin viscosity. A bit more body on the palate than expected from the pour. Moderately tannic with a dry finish when first sipped cold, but more complexity emerges as it warms. The coconut and vanilla are fairly subdued at all points, but I get some cocoa powder and bitter dark chocolate, hints of plum, cherry cordial, and wheated whiskey notes from the barrels.
