just okay for me here, my first beer from these guys, first i have ever even heard of them really. the flavors are fine, even pleasantly yeast forward for the style, and quite classically german and robust to me, but its a bit flat and a bit stale tasting to me from the bottle, not as bright as i like them to be, not enough carbonation, and not dry enough to be a refreshing high volume drink, which is what i generally look for in this style in terms of texture. there is a little bit of oxidation as well, but the hops are right in the finish, and i like the yeast quite a lot, they seem to have that part pretty well figured out here. its the conditioning and the bringing to life of this one that could use the fine tuning. i think they are on the right track to a sold pilsener here, but with so many good ones around to choose from, im not sure i would wait around for this one to reach its full potential. neat to see craft beer popping up so wildly in the plains states though, it really is happening everywhere, and thats just awesome!

Poured into a shaker pint glass.
The beer is opaque burnt yellow with a very pristine, white meringue head that leaves nice lines of foamy lacing.
The aroma is lemongrass, light citrus, and banana.
Taste has notes of dry lemongrass, lime zest, cloves, bananas, and orange peel.
Mouthfeel is light to medium and dry.
Overall, a lot of flavors going all over the place, but very astringent and harsh on the palate.
