This place is wonderful. The owners Dave and head brewer/owner Ted are approachable and good guys. Ted is a godfather of Michigan brewing and brews great beer (its like he knows my taste buds, thank you Ted). There are usually about 10 beers and some cider on tap.

The staff is by turns friendly, funny, quirky and always there for you. Its a good space, with music about 3-5 nights a week depending, and trivia nights also. They also have darts in the back. Its the brewpub version of Cheers.

My wife and I stopped here to have lunch and try their beers. The pub is located on the first floor of a 6-story brick apartment building in downtown Ypsi, and had just opened for the day on a Saturday and was not yet busy. It is a good-sized place with a sizeable amount of seating, but the bar is small with only 6 stools. Three TVs are located in the bar area. Just outside the bar area is small concrete patio area that offers additional seating in the warm months. A dart-throwing area is another feature of the pub.

There were 8 beers on tap, but we still had a long drive ahead of us, so we ordered only a sampler flight of 4 beers of our choice. All of these beers were brewed very well to style, and each had a bit of a twist to them that made them unique in our minds, but each was very tasty. We gave an overall grade of a B to them. In addition to the beers, there were 3 ciders offered and several wines.

Our food order was delivered very promptly to our table, and the sandwiches were very tasty. The food selection is posted on the website, and is an interesting choice of offerings. If traveling in the area again we'd pay a return visit.
