12 oz can from jrc1093 into Snowman chalice.
Snap of the can and we're off! A thick inky black pour yields a half finger of head that recedes to a ring. No lacing is left behind.
Aroma is faint and is of slight chocolate pudding and some cacao nibs, with faint coconut though it's buried pretty deep. Some slight nutty malt as well.
Flavor brings dirty cacao nibs and slight yeast trub, with some fruity yeast esters and very slight vanilla cola.
Feel is thin but the alcohol is masked exceptionally well - unfortunately it's just too thin for me and drinks more like a porter.
Overall this was kind of a bummer for me, as I was expecting a massive coconut chocolate bomb (especially at 11.3%) but you can't win them all.
