A: Pours a milky murky pale yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate pale orange + pale golden yellow + pale peach colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense cream sudsy foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a handful of small patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of very slightly mottled thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of honeydew melon + tropical/passionfruit + tropical/star fruit + citrus/tangerine hops over the top of moderate aromas of biscuit + pale + oat malts with a light amount of sugary sweetness.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of biscuit + pale + oat malts with a light amount of sugary sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of honeydew melon + tropical/passionfruit + tropical/star fruit + citrus/tangerine hops along with a hint of earthy hops which contribute a light amount of bitterness which fades away very quickly leaving moderate lingering honeydew melon hop flavors.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Moderate amounts of creamy soft/fluffiness mid-body and a light amount of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with pretty well hidden alcohol and a very pleasant creamy soft/fluffy mouthfeel. Enjoyable with a slightly different/unusual hop profile for an NEIPA - I like the Mandarina Bavaria presence as you don’t see it a lot in NEIPAs.

Picked this up recently at ShopRite Liquors in Little Falls, thinking that I hadn't had anything from Front Porch before when that wasn't actually the case. Of course, the label drew me in a bit but this wasn't a bad beer for a late summer's night as the alcohol was well hidden and this was both true to stylistic form and quite easy to drink!
This had a typical murky, golden hue that I'd expect in a New England IPA as the head was plentiful and took it's time settling down. Some thin rings of lacing stayed behind most of the suds slid down with the beer itself. Loads of melon, star and passion fruit, and a hint of mandarin orange in the nose as the booze emerged a bit more in the taste, with some deep stone fruit underneath that. Slick, earthy, and pithy, the hops were in equal proportion here with a nice, malty backbone here that gave this plenty of body. Dank swamp water and tangerine cream made up the aftertaste as they fit in with the juicy nature of this beer as the sweetness was just enough to take the edge off of everything else that was going on here.
Yeah, this was strong and carbonation could have been a bit higher to further soften this beer. As it was, I enjoyed it as it felt fresh and the date of 6/17 on the bottom of the can indicated that this was new. Still, there were a few dark bits of sediment that settled at the bottom of the liquid although the last few sips didn't contain too much burn to them. While not outstanding, this was a sufficient IPA that could have used a bit less alcohol in it and a tad more brightness in the flavor. Worth a go once if nothing else is on hand...
