Poured extremely dark brown and was impenetrable black in the snifter, capped with a dark brown head that left good lacing.
The aroma was mild for my nose, but chocolate and malts were detected.
The flavor, wow, where to begin? This is unashamedly a pastry stout but it isn't in your face sweet - the flavors that the 7 "layers" are made of are almost all noticeable. They blend and balance well with nothing sticking out sideways.
The feel was a very soft viscosity that reminded me to sip when I wanted to gulp. At 10% ABV, sipping is a good idea.
I'd definitely seek this one out if it were local to me. Certainly not a daily drinker, but it's about as pleasant a pastry stout as I've ever had.

16oz can from Half Time. Thick, black pour with a fizzy beige head. Sweet chocolaty aroma, nutty notes, and a trace of booziness. Taste is sweet, chocolate syrup, graham cracker, with the lactose providing a velvety feel. All of the other adjuncts provide accents, mostly nutty, to this viscous, decadent brew.
