16 ounce can, 01/26/23 stamped on the bottom. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel, roasted malt and some dark berries. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some coffee and dark bready flavors noticeable too. This one does lean sweeter tasting, although no one flavor overpowers the others. It does remind me somewhat of a brownie. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and smooth with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew overall, definitely worth trying especially if you like pastry stouts!

Form the 16 oz can in a snifter, This solid little imperial pours
a coal black with a moderate head of tan foam that fizzles to a thin
ring with subtle lacing. Nose of chocolate fudge, brulee, vanilla, and
subtle dark coffee dashed with dark berry notes. Flavors hit the mark
with chocolate fudge, cream, brulee, vanilla, moderate char, light dark
coffee, and dark berry notes of blackberry and raspberry. Mouth feel
is full, light carbonation, lightly slick, coating, sweet and teetering on
cloying.
Overall, a decent little dessert stout.
Cheers

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque black in the glass with a one finger milk chocolate head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, fudge brownies, vanilla, lactose; a touch boozy. Flavor is dark toasted malt, dark chocolate, some fudge and vanilla; some caramel in in the finish with a lingering fudgy finish. Medium bodied with moderate to heavy creaminess; great mouth feel. Solid brownie stout. I almost didn't get this because I'm off sweet dessert stouts; glad I did, because this is very much to my taste. A light sweetness, but not near dessert levels, which allows the flavors to take the fore. The brownie aroma is uncanny, the taste has great chocolate and vanilla more like fudge, but solid b'day character. Great introduction to this brewery. Happy birthday.
