On tap @ the brewery - poured a orange-gold hazed brew with a smallish cap...lactose used so this is like a pumpkin milkshake IPA with pumpkin pie spices...aroma is sweet with pumpkin pie spice and some light grassiness...taste follows aroma with sweet lactose discernment up front, spices and light earthiness, hopping is eclipsed by these...wet finish with a sweet lactose kiss at the finish...those who like the milkshake ale genre will enjoy this, personally I've had too many sweet spiced pumpkin beers to warm up to it...it's OK, no off tasted but just to sweet and spicy for me...the Rye is undetectable.
