On tap at the brewery, brewer said they used "Sasquatch" hops, thus the name "elusive - pours a clear deep amber-copper color with a 1 finger tawny cap...aromas of spicy hops and toasty malts....clean and rich mouth feel, no sweetness, well attenuated...flavor has the hops up front, spicy, bitter with the toastiness and nutiness of the brewn ale in a support role...clean crisp increasingly bitter finish with a lingering hop after taste...decent enough American style brown.
