From the tap and delivered inside a clear pint glass, it came. There's almost no head and unless further reported, there will be no significant lacing within the vessel. The color is yellow-amber, bright and nearly translucent. Although mild, it brings the light hoppiness and malt aroma characteristic of a Kolsch. But it's not the best Kolsch you'll ever taste, as it trends more toward the bitterness of a Pilsner than the strived for balance between ale and lager that describe Kolches. This drinks more like a bitterly hopped lager than anything else. That may be OK, but it's not what a good Kolsch should be. Not even a trace of an ale body or malt taste inclusion can be found. Kolsches can be delightful and brewing a good one isn't easy. This isn't one of the good ones.
