Purchased from a beer shop in Venice and poured from fridge temp. Pours black with almost no carbonation. No head at all. Nose is really nice. Getting lambic and roasted malts together, but they really compliment each other. Sour cherries, citrus peel, and a bit of lemon. Taste is great. Mostly getting a nice lambic flavor - not much in the way of stout. Nice funk, leather, citrus - lemons mostly. Taste is really refreshing. It's quite sour, which is impressive. Almost mouth puckering. Aftertaste is dry and light. Mouthfeel is thin, but the alcohol level is quite low. Overall, this is one of the best sour stouts I have had. I prefer these to have more of a lambic taste like this one.

Birrificio Oldo "Trentalegni"
33 cl brown glass bottle, "Da consumarsi preferibilmente entro fine... L034/16 09/2022"
8.50€ @ Beershop Venezia, Venezia, IT
Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured fairly hazy, but I unfortunately shook up the bottle quite a bit in transport, and I believe that had it been allowed to rest it might have sedimented nicely. However, very little head was brought up when I poured it, and then that died down before I was even able to type this. That's common for sour beers though, so I don't think it should hurt its rating. The aroma is funky with some acidity, some more "funky" vinous and vinegar notes, some wet wood, some roastiness, and some chocolate. The flavor is surprisingly not as tart as the aroma suggests it might be, nor is there as much chocolate or roastiness - ??? How can that be? Still, it is acidic and somewhat puckering. There's next to no carbonation though, which is a little odd. It's medium bodied and smooth except for the acidic bite. I'm not sensing much bitterness but then again there really shouldn't be. Does it list IBUs on the label? Yes, 20 IBUs. Hmmm, I'm finding that a little hard to believe, but maybe. I was thinking it was under 10. Some light caramel comes through as well, light as in intensity I mean, the caramel is actually medium in character. And there's some dark fruit, some plum, maybe some cherry. ... ... ... I guess that about covers it. It's quite pleasant once your palate adapts to the acidity, and to a certain extent it's a bit fun during those first few sips when it seems sharper and puckering. Overall however it's not quite as complex and fascinating as it could be.

Black, almost no foam.
Strong sourness in the nose, strong cherry note. Then vanilla, some blueberry, wood.
Taste: a start with a decent sourness, then red fruit and wood.
The sourness fades away a bit too quickly.
Some roasted and coffe notes.
Short aftertaste, too short (red fruit).
