growler obtained from growling at the moon
poured into my snifter very dark brown, not quite black. I have had this 2-3 weeks and just cracked it open and it still poured a 2 finger tan head and has alot of carbonation.
smell is not strong at all bitter chocolate, roasted malt, and a little piney hop.
taste is nice, but not wow. mostly roasted malt flavor, but i love malt, so this one works for me. Not complex or crazy, just a drinkable beer.
Mouthfeel was light for a stout, but in the warm arizona winters it works.
I could session this one easily, drink it with meals, and overall enjoy it for a full night. Very nice.. would drink this one alot if it were in my neighborhood.

Got a chance to try this on tap at Terry's. Its a medium bodied stout. Nothing really spectacular. Poured a nice dark brown with some light visible on the sides and bottom. Smallish tan head graced the top and faded into some decent side glass lace. Light smell of coffee and caramel mixed in with a bit of a roasted earthy tone. The taste was somewhat muted and needed a bit of a pop to be honest. Some roasted coffee and a touch of dark chocolate, with a very dry finish. Feel was a bit thin to be honest, though it was light enough that it didnt really fill you up. Overall a rather average stout, I have had worse for sure. This could be better with a little more punch to it.
