Served on tap at Main Street Pub in Spartanburg. Pours a deep dark brown with full creamy tan head. Smell is unbelievable! I'm told it's made with a mocha java blend from a local coffee roastery. Taste is again dominated by sweetness and coffe flavor, but the body is fairly light. Mouthfeel is smooth and rich...this one is an easy drink!

I tried this one on tap at the brewery during Tour & Taste Thursdays. I'm told it's a collaboration between Rockers and a local coffee roastery, Old World Cafe. Pours an extreamly dark and somewhat cloudy color with a thick creamy tan head. Smell is full of coffee beans and other roasted / black malts. I didn't pick up on any obvious hop aromas. Taste is mostly coffee, mocha java to be specific, but it's not too overwhelming. Mouthfeel is pretty light and I only had a couple 4 oz samples, but it seems to be a pretty easy beer to drink. Give this one a try if you can find it! I know they only made a little over 20 kegs worth...

Coffee porter brewed with locally roasted coffee beans. Had at the brewery at one of their taste and tour sessions. Served from tap into an RJ Rockers shaker. Poured pitch black with a one and half finger light tan head that subsided to a minimal amount very slowly. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of roasted malt and massive coffee. The flavor was comprised of roasted malt, coffee, and a slight hop note. It had a medium feel on the palate with medium carbonation. Overall if you like coffee you will enjoy this one. It had a nice crisp and refreshing flavor and a good aroma. I just wish they would have cut back on the coffee some in this one as it was pretty overwhelming to begin with until your palate adjusted. However with a few tweeks this one could be really good.
