The brewing venue is located on a busy street north of downtown St. Louis, about 10 minutes from the airport. It is just up the street (two buildings away) from Cugino's Italian Bar & Grill, the affiliated Italian restaurant. You can order pizza and other food from Cugino's and it will be delivered to your table in the brewery. The brewery itself is a freestanding building with an industrial vibe. It has a large bar and numerous tables of varying heights and styles and some comfy chairs. There are several video games and dogs are permitted. It is a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. The patrons were mostly local beer aficianados who are fortunate to have such a great local brewery. The server was friendly and talkative. The beers, particularly the hazy IPAs and Imperial Stouts, are excellent. There was a great selection on draught and lots of cans for purchase. Overall, I’m very happy to have finally visited this brewery. It was on my bucket list. I will go out of my way to stop in again next time I pass through St. Louis.

Visited on 04/08/2022.

On our second trip to STL, we knew one of the days we wanted to make the drive up to Florissant and check out Narrow Gauge. We went right at opening, and they had a great varied selection of their well-known hop-forward beers as well as a few darker, higher-gravity options.

Overall the beers were great, and I was happy to see some of their more recognizable beers available for purchase. We also tried the "famous" stuffed meatballs, which were fantastic. While the hybrid brewery / Italian food concept was a bit odd, I had zero complaints throwing back cheesy meatballs while sipping my beer.

Service was excellent; we were in town for Side Project's Invitational Festival and one of the servers recognized what we were wearing and hooked us up with a couple of tasters on the house. Great conversation, relaxed vibes. Definitely worth the trip!

This is such a fantastic brewery. Modern feel on the inside despite the outside looking a little worn-down. The beer selection isn't all hazies. They had 3 German style beers and some other non-IPA and non-fruited options. The service did a fine job despite being fairly busy.

This brewery is located inside a restaurant called Cuginos. Amazing food! You have to order the stuffed meatballs. They do not do sampler s anymore, but you can get half pours. Small patio available.

Stopped here with some friends while on our way to MS. The vibe was lowkey, pretty relaxed. The service was good the beers were excellent and the food was really good too! Would've liked to check out some other places in the St. Louis area but we were strapped for time. That being said I'm glad we chose this place because it's didn't disappoint.

what can you say about a little place like this? born in the basement of an old school italian restaurant here, a special place, where what looks like it used to be dining room has become taproom, an open space, old school feeling, heady new school beers that defy all logic. the hazy ones are what have made them famous, and i will acknowledge that they are very good across the board, but its hard to get excited about that stuff most of the time. they do some unique wild beer too, although a lot of it young and in need of a decade or so, its neat that are doing this stuff, and i think its the future for them, keep it coming. its a fun place to hang, good people, feels like family, and the beer really is good, hoppy ones too. it seems almost impossible that something so nationally relevant could have come from a mom and pop type place like this on the food side. some craft guest beers still exist, but it seems like their beer bar days are over, everyone is here for the narrow gauge stuff now. quality is high, pretension is low, and they just slay it, food and drink, always a treat to visit or drink their stuff. meatballs rock, but the hoppy beer makes hay too! a little off the beaten path but worth the trip! definitely come hungry!

located inside cugino’s restaurant in florissant, the tap list is dominated by narrow gauge brews but also features a few domestics and other StL brewery staples such as civil life and schlafly. there’s a pick-up window to grab cans and bottles for takeaway. always a great spot to grab lunch when near StL and of course i can never resist getting some beer to take back home with me.
