Bitter, resinous, and over the top with a sweet, malty backbone. This TRIPLE IPA is brewed with Columbus, Chinook, Cluster, Simcoe & Galaxy hops that makes this unapologetic beer as big & bold as it's claim to fame!

16 oz can from Tavour. Not as dank as you would think based on the name. Orange golden with a light haze, minimal head. Aroma hits the nose with some bold hoppy notes, fruity elements in the background. Taste also has the hops in the front, dominant, some tropical fruitiness behind. Hoppy, bit not necessarily dank.

Taste: complex variety of hops, some grassy, spiced, tropical, bitter bite. Nose has some hop to it and a slight medicinal aroma. Golden hue, clear, nice lattice of lace. Medium body. 145 IBUs!

Copper-orange body; thin yet dense and creamy head. Rich caramel aroma infused with a bit of esters; toasted grain. Bread crust and toasted grain backbone; minimal bit of fruitiness; nice bitterness to balance things out. Heavy body; thick and oily; mildly crisp with a subtle sugary bite; relatively dry overall.
For a triple India pale ale, this one stands out, primarily because it brings an overall toasted grain quality to things with minimal booze or hop bite. At 11.7% ABV, one would be hard pressed to ascertain that this beer is that strong. I find it hard to say that I would describe a TIPA as balanced and nuanced, but this beer certainly is...

Pours a cloudy apricot color. Aroma is of citrus and something hard to pin down, mango perhaps? Body is very light, no noticeable alcohol presence; Odd because of the light body it should be prevalent. Taste follows the smell with an unidentified fruit aftertaste. Not very bitter, not a very hoppy presence either. Neither pleasant nor unpleasant. Just ho-hum for me, won't be seeking this one out again.
