Our Belgian Dubbel has a nice malt backbone complemented with caramel & raisin sweetness with a slight hint of chocolate. We added over 40lbs of plums to this batch to add to the flavor and complexity of the newest addition to our lineup.

Had on tap. Opaque brown body with a tan ring. Light nose with plum starring, caramel malts with light roast, candi sugar, and faint other dark fruits. Taste has roast that is too heavy, plum is atop it all and very pleasant, but the yeast never comes through beyond a bready burst, nor do the supporting dark fruit. Feel is overly roasted too, also thin and wet for style

Taste: subtle complex bread notes hit with dark fruit forward flavors of plums and raisins with some chocolate and burnt caramel malts in background. Mellow nose. Dark brown, cloudy/opaque, smaller tan head with some ringed lattice on taster glass. Medium body. A different take on a Belgium Dubbel. 16 IBUs
