Taste: Complex juicy grassy, tropical citrus grapefruit, hops, dry and finish mellows a bit. Big aroma of tropical fruit hop nose. gold, mostly clear, tall white foam head, with broken ring lattice of lace. Medium body.

L: Semi translucent orange
A: Sweet, fruity, mango, citrus
T: Mostly balanced, leaning sweet, very little bittering qualities
F: Smooth, medium body, low carbonation
O: Really tasty beer, a solid IPA, more representative of a Midwest brew than the stated NEIPA, IMHO

With all due respect to trying to tweak an established style, one of the principles of northeast-style IPAs is the cloudy presentation; The Call looks like any other translucent, copper IPA. This is reflected in the taste, which has the expected low bitterness on the back end, but the juiciness is muted. 6.6 ABV is definitely there.
My first beer from Metal Monkey. Poured into a tulip from a growler filled six hours earlier. I wouldn't kick this beer out of bed, and from the brewery menu it seems these brewers prefer heavy stouts and such. But on a nuanced style, you want to hit the nuances, not just face-melt. Beer is not metal, and vice versa.
