A diaster. Loved the premise of a wine barrel aged tripel, thought it would accent the floral and underlying sweeter notes well. I was so wrong. This beer tastes like confused wine and vinegar hop-sludge. Very acidic, boozy, and a complete and unbalanced mess. It looked ok on the pour at least!

Taste: Acidic, tart, oak, wine vinegar, yeast sharp boozy finish. Same with the nose. Amber, clear, with white head and some lace. Medium to Med/full body. Red wine notes from barrel are not exactly my own taste.
