Not being a spicy dieted person...this beer was FABULOUS!! I’m totally a Mexican stout person now!! How I miss it!! Please bring it back, Metal Monkey, and my world will b complete!!

Looks dark, pours with a cocoa head that fades quickly. Smell is reserved, hints of cinnamon, vanilla, chocoloate, malts. Taste is more reserved than expected, hints of cinnamon, chocloate and pepper, but very little barrel character. Feel is a bit thin and more carbonated for the style, but is not detracting. Overall it's a good effort, but not the best of the catergory.

Taste: Complex, refined, spicy pepper, roasted bittersweet dark chocolate, molasses, cinnamon, malty slight heat. Same with the nose. Black, opaque, dark tan head delicate ringed lace. Full but not heavy body. 64 IBUs
