Aged for 11 months in Grape Brandy barrels, this beer has a soft maltiness and an intriguing yeast stamp, with just enough bitterness to play off the light malty finish and complimented with oak & peppery flavors. Deceptively potent.

22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Released 10/2019, had 3/14/20.

Pours a mostly clear orange/amber, with a short, quickly dissipating head and sparse cling. Aromas of grape brandy, Belgian yeast, light malt. Has a spicy aroma. The flavor opens up quite a bit more in intensity than the aroma- grape brandy, malt, light Belgian yeast, some oak, light toffee, light apple. Has a spicy flavor. Smooth, a very good light to medium body, well carbonated.

The barrels are excellent in the flavor. This is pretty straightforward and focused, but well executed. Very enjoyable.
