Sixteen tons is a lovely little brewpub designed to look and feel like a British pub. Housed in a brick building surrounded by standard Soviet cinderblock, the ground floor consists of a cigar room for about 12, the pub which seats about 25 and features a nice wooden bar, and a wintergarden with seating for another 15 or so. They have several British and continental brews on tap, but the reason to go here is their house brews. They have only two, and it is always the same two (lager and dark), but they are excellent. The lager is the best beer in Moscow, while the dark is eminently quaffable. The food is OK, and the service pretty lousy. Order your next beer when you are half way finished with the current one.
