With a name like this I was wondering what i was gonna get. -ish on the end tends to mean the brewer is afraid of style nerds voicing their opinion on the internet. Unfortunately, this pilsnerish is an ale. But hey, maybe its alright.
Pours light yellow with good clarity and 1/2" white head. Aroma was mostly noble hops and a little bit of grain, but it was really lacking in the yeast department in terms of offering anything to smell, was just neutral, which isn't what I'm looking for in a beer with the word pilsner in it.
Taste has a grassy hop bite that is appreciated, digging this now, taste superior to the aroma. Mouthfeel good, substantial carbonation like a pilsner would have, nice pilsner malt I presume, we're good. Its nice and light, yet doesn't skimp on flavor. Initially, I was apprehensive, but once I got passed the neutral aroma, the beer significantly improved in every other area.
