A beer that was worth the wait. Quietly aged for 14 months in a single Blantons barrel. It was so pretty coming out of the barrel that we decided to add nothing else that could get in the way. A pure showcase of elegance and restraint. Soft caramel and roast from the barrel with the signature Blantons baking spice background. The natural vanillins come through with a smooth lushness that pops as this warms. The perfect level of sweetness and char balance everything harmoniously.

Sweet and roasty milk chocolate and oaky woody, vanilla bourbon barrel nose on this one! Taste follows with a chocolate roasty malty, hint of vanilla, and hint of bourbon boozy finish...as it warms, the chocolate takes on more of a dark chocolate bitter note. This is not as viscous and heavy on the palate as I was expecting, but it is very balanced and tasty! Good!
