Sweet tropical hoppy, orange-tangerine citrus, and a Mosaic-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a hoppy, slightly malty, hint of berries, and a piney-dank bitter finish. Good use of a great hop profile for a westie...just needed a touch more hop expression on the backend. Good stuff!

Had this 6 months ago at the Bistro's 22nd annual dipa fest. 1st review here nonetheless. Zero karma points for being such a brave leader. But hey I didn't become a jobber at my own creation at least.
Pours a yellow light brass color. 1/2" white head. Could use a degree of additional clarity. The aroma talks up all the sexy hops, Mosaic, Strata, Citra. . . I think there is something else. Anyhoo, you know the drill, alternating waves of citrus and tropical. I'd say slightly brighter, more varied, papaya, orange, tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, passion fruit. Its nicely done.
Those same notes come out a little more in the taste. Clearly hits in the proprietary hop feels, its loaded with fruity notes without fruit. Malt character is mostly minimalistic and out of the way. Light, dry, still does a pretty good job at being drinkable without much input from bitterness or booziness. Flatland seems pretty adept at making good (hoppy) beers, its a saturated market, but they can hang.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
