This one pours a golden brown-ish color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells very spicy, much spicier than the style calls for, almost peppery, with some bready malt as well.
This is too spicy and bitter for the style, ultimately, bordering on astringent. The malt character is not rich enough to stand up to how strong that flavor is overall. I’m not sure if it’s overhopped or something else went wrong, I just don’t really enjoy it in the end.
This is lighter bodied, with a pretty “dirty” and not smooth finish. It’s not all that drinkable.
I love this style and I do not love this take on it.
