DDH WCIPA with Strata and Nelson
Each spring Humulus Lupulus roots send forth new bines towards an overhead trellis, up to 18 feet tall. The bines are cut down and separated at the end of summer. The hop cones containing different oils, such as lupulin, are later used for flavor & aroma in beer…including this IPA - Sublime Metamorphosis – West Coast IPA with Michigan grown Copper, Strata & Nelson. The metamorphosis of root to cone is amazing, and in our relentless pursuit of hop flavor & aroma we used Michigan grown Copper hops for the first time ever. The result was a an IPA with aromas & flavors of fruit punch, tropical botanicals, earthy cherries, mild dankness and zesty white wine grapes.
